Coaching

Coaching offers a personalized approach to relationship education.

Using the Appreciative Way model, we focus on appreciating what is
already good and right about a relationship and discovering ways to
continue to grow in those areas. This collaborative approach helps clients
to gain clarity and identify the resources needed for success.

It is not therapy, which tends to diagnose a problem in order to fix it.

It is not mentoring, which emphasizes character development and values.

    Appreciative Way Coaching is:

positive
future oriented
goal oriented
time-limited

Coaching is available for couples or singles for 30, 60 or 90 minute sessions.

    Coaching with PREPARE-ENRICH Inventories
PREPARE stands for PREmarital Personal And Relationship Evaluation.

There are no right or wrong answers, or passing or failing scores.
These scientifically developed and tested inventories help couples to
identify their relationships strengths and potential growth areas, and  can
help couples to celebrate their strengths and identify potential growth areas

PREPARE asks 165 questions covering these topics:

    family-of-origin history                                 children and parenting

          personality issues                                         family and friends

    money management                                      sexual expectations

    spiritual beliefs                                              leisure activities

While over two million couples have taken PREPARE inventories,
a growing number of married couples are now taking these inventories:

ENRICH - ENriching Relationship Issues, Communication and Happiness

MATE - Mature Age Transitional Evaluation (for couples over age 50)

         Wedding Planning Coaching
Wedding planning can bring out the worst in everyone, and strain
relationships among family members and friends. Brides especially feel the
pressure to please everyone, and sometimes lose their cool in the process.

Sometimes couples have unrealistic expectations, and can't understand
why everyone else doesn't place the same importance on their special day.

One or more wedding planning coaching sessions in person or by phone
can  put things into perspective and help to ease the wedding stress.

Choose from 15, 30, or 60 minute sessions. Call for rates.
"It was so nice to talk openly about
our relationship and our views on
religion, children, and other topics in
a relaxed way. Julie made it easy and
we felt welcome to speak freely.

The personality test was particularly
helpful.  We used to say how different
we were, but the test showed that
while we differed on some things, we
shared similar fundamental beliefs.
This was a nice revelation.

"Julie met with us for three sessions
before she officiated our wedding, and
it was such a great experience for us.
After dating for seven years we
thought we knew everything about
one another, but with Julie's help we
gained new insight and understanding.

The process was fun and comfortable,
and just increased our excitement
about getting married.  When we
walked down the aisle, we were
confident that we were prepared to
take that huge step in our lives."
